STAGE 3
WRITING AND RESEARCH
As your story emerges from the interviews, the Personal Historian will begin working on the text of your book. This text will be backed with extensive research of the socio-political situation of the time, giving context to the story. You will have regular opportunities to review and give feedback on the book as
it progresses.

STAGE 5
PRINT & DELIVERY
Once we have all the details right and you sign off on the final file, the book goes into print. We work closely with the printer to decide the book specifications and the quality of the print. Your beautifully bound, hardcover books will be printed and delivered to your home.
STAGE 4
DIGITIZE & DESIGN
The Personal Historian collects and digitizes the photographs, documents, letters, certificates. In addition to the photographs, we curate a vibrant collection of visual materials to weave into your book design. Our design team works hard to create a beautiful book, richly layered in colour and texture to reflect the unique facets of
your story.
STAGE 2
INTERVIEWS
We first send you our questionnaire to jog your memory and provide a structure for your interviews. Questions are easy, fun, nostalgic and bring back memories you haven’t thought about in years or even decades!
In-depth interview sessions with your Personal Historian form the backbone of your story. The interviews are preferably face-to-face or can be by phone, via video call, whichever you prefer. At this stage, we will interview all the other people involved with
the book.
STAGE 1
WELCOME TO FAMILY FABLES
We are excited to document your story. Once we have your confirmation, we will assign you a Personal Historian who will work with you closely to create an outline of the main events and themes that you want to cover. The time- frame and the people who have to be interviewed will be finalised at this stage.

Every story is unique therefore each book is customised to meet your requirements. Prices for books depend on factors such as project scope, number and length of interviews, amount of research and editing required, number and condition of photographs and other images to be included, type of cover and binding, and number of copies required.
