Samrata Diwan
Founder
Samrata is the founder of Family Fables Co. Her passion for oral history began long before Family Fables and it was while listening to her grandparents recount stories from their childhood at the backdrop of the Great Partition, she found her passion for history. This led her to pursue her undergraduate studies in History from St. Stephens College, University of Delhi and a postgraduate degree in International Relations from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.
Trisha
Art Director
Trisha Singh is the Art Director at Family Fables Co. She has studied Visual Communication Design at Srishti School of Art & Design, Bangalore and an M.A in Visual Brand Design from Domus Academy, Milan. She studied Art Direction and Book Illustration at Chelsea College, UAL, London and has a B.A (Hons) in English from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, Delhi University.
Surangana
Personal Historian
Surangana Makin is a Personal Historian at Family Fables Co. She is
responsible for carefully and methodologically preserving and
documenting what is perhaps the most important wealth one bequeaths, i.e., memories. She holds
a Bachelor’s and Master’s in History from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi and has a
demonstrated history of working previously in varied sectors with
names like FICCI, Harvard SAI and
the National Museum.
Farzan Bashir
Personal Historian
Farzan Bashir is a Personal Historian at Family Fables Co. He has done
his Bachelors in Law from the University of Kashmir, Srinagar and is currently pursuing his Masters from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi.
Anahita
Personal Historian
Anahita Mir is a personal historian with Family Fables Company. As a
personal historian she helps people document their life stories by
conducting interviews and piecing the story together. She completed
her graduation in Political Science from Delhi University and Masters
from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. She joined Family Fables Company in 2018.
Hakim Muhammad Afzal
Personal Historian
Hakim Muhammad Afzal has been a Personal Historian at Family Fables Company since 2018.
Afzal pursued an undergraduate degree in Political Science from Delhi University and a Masters in Political Science from Jamia Millia Islamia. He has also worked on creating and writing reports for various organisations like UNDP
in the past.

Apekshita Varshney is an editor with Family Fables Company. She is a journalist, writer and editor with over six years of experience across media houses, startups, nonprofits and government agencies. She works across sectors and formats from articles, short stories, books to documentaries.
